The EPL have degraded in the same way that other Marxist-Leninist organizations within Colombia have. With their adopting of Guerrilla tactics as being their only method at a People’s Victory, without having these tactics well founded inside of the Urban Proletariat through an alliance with the Rural Proletariat. The lack of such an alliance of the Working Class has allowed for the degradation, combined with the lack of material support for general strikes in Colombia from the EPL itself and the inability to build itself as a formidable vanguard party that is to engage in a popular front with other revolutionary parties and the degradation is rather clear.
